Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Prepares for Dismissal of Employees Hired During Interim Period
In a significant legislative development, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has prepared a bill titled ‘Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Employee Services 2025’ aimed at dismissing employees recruited during the caretaker administration. This bill, soon to be presented in the assembly, targets those appointed in the public sector under the interim government.
According to the bill’s text, these appointments were made illegally during the caretaker period. The relevant agencies will issue notifications to enforce the dismissal once the bill is passed.
Furthermore, a six-member committee under the leadership of the Secretary of Establishment will be formed to address any legal complications arising during the implementation process. The committee will include the Advocate General, as well as secretaries from the Law, Treasury, Administration, and other relevant departments.
