Punjab citizen can not Register Islamabad Number for Vehicles

The Punjab government has made a significant decision: residents will not be able to register their vehicles in other provinces or the federal area. The Excise Department has obtained approval from the provincial cabinet to stop registrations in other provinces. According to the Excise Department, residents register their vehicles in the federal area or other provinces to avoid taxes. Penalties will be imposed for registrations in other provinces.

There are difficulties in collecting taxes from registrations in other provinces or the federal area. Officials also mentioned that there is a law for re-registration of vehicles registered in other provinces or the federal area back in Punjab. After the cabinet’s approval, a summary for legislation will soon be sent to the government. Excise officials mentioned that registrations from Punjab to other regions will be controlled keeping in mind the district codes of NADRA.

Despite the ban, those who register will have their vehicles seized and will also be fined on re-registration. Previously, Punjab’s Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rahman stated that Punjab residents must register their vehicles in Punjab. The purpose of the reforms introduced in property tax is to bring defaulters into the tax net.

These thoughts were expressed by Finance Minister Mujtaba Shuja ur Rahman during the presidency of the 13th meeting of the Standing Committee for Legislation and Privatization. He had said that increasing the burden on those who already pay taxes is unacceptable. Admissions in medical and dental colleges will be strictly merit-based. The Provincial Finance Minister also stated that the protection of women’s rights at the time of marriage will be ensured under the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance 1961. A minimum educational qualification of matriculation will be proposed for those filling out the marriage form.
